Tech and Gift Recovery

I have to apologize for missing the last two weeks, and being two days late. I really need to give other people a heads up when I can't manage a post. I've been busy with my rehabilitation. It's a struggle. There are two aspects to it. People have expressed concerned in email that I will be easier to spot now with my crippled arm. It's not as obvious as a one armed man, but it still will attract attention that I don't need. That's actually been the second part of my rehab. I intend to cover my trouble with my gift. I've been working on swinging around my arm and hand as naturally as possible, and faking a grip on things when I have to.

Besides working my shoulder--lightly since it still hurts--I also had to get one of those electrical devices with the pads that makes muscles tense up. I have to learn how to use it to keep my limp arm from looking different than the normal one. No amount of swinging it around or bending it is going to keep the muscles firm. It will otherwise soon look weak and wasting away.

I don't know how I would deal with this if I couldn't mentally focus on two things at once. Even as it is I've missed a ton of work. I should almost find another job that's less demanding, but I figure it will be a good way to make me keep on top of appearing natural. If I need to I can stop focusing on my arm for more important things. I also have to see if I can learn to switch sides for making people feel the sensations I feel. It won't do to mistakenly making someone feel nothing on their right, though, that may have a purpose too.
