Josh is okay. Just to let you know, Jenny is okay and home resting comfortably. We've been awfully worried about her. It didn't seems so at the time when I spoke of both her and Josh. Josh has just been more visible, with being online himself.

We keep talking about what happened, and maybe its dragging on a bit, but it's kind of a big deal. It's a lot to process. There are still lots of questions and speculation. For instance it has come up why we didn't involve someone with gifts geared towards healing. You've maybe heard a story of a faith healer, or of mind over matter medicine, maybe even feedback to increase healing. There are lots of stories and there are lots of fakes, scams, and lies. We sent word out through the Protectorate to look for one of the gifted. There are some who can heal themselves. There was one who could share an injury, but that's iffy when it's really serious or extensive.

We even talked about someone who does surgery with just their hands. That would require harvesting a lot of nerve material from all over Josh's body leaving small dead spots to then use the nerves to rebuild the pathways in his shoulder. It wouldn't be ideal and there is no one with the Protectorate like that anyway. Rather than chase it Josh decided to take the path he has and live with it and fake the missing motion. He sees the faking as a test of skill and a way to work at those aspects of his gifts.He wants finer control and this seems like a good way to get it.
